SCREEN SHOTS FROM PHIL STROFFOLINO'S SIMULATOR

03/07/01:CURRENT STATUS: No Change.  Phil has been very busy with other projects - like Looping and FIretruck, so we'll just have to be patient!
02/25/00:  Phil Stroffolino's Monaco GP Simulator is coming along nicely! Below are actual pictures from the Simulator. As you can see, Phil has unpacked all of the sprite roms and has done great work on the getting the colors right (the eye candy of the awesome coding he has done from graphics to gameplay) . The Sim actually works, however there is currently no collision detection, and much tweaking and detailing still needs to be done. The Sim currently runs under MAME architecture. However, seeing the current fate of PONG leads ME to believe it may end up a stand alone. Who knows..:-). I have been told that Monaco GP is one of the more "complicated" non-CPU hardware of the early games, so one could be hopeful that other Sims for games such as Death Race or Stunt Cycle may see the light of day at some point.
[Special thanks go out to all those who have helped thus far]

ACTUAL BOARD SCREENSHOTS (WRONG COLORS)

DISCLAIMER: After weeks of finding time to put together some wire-harnesses from scratch (a MAJOR task) for the 5-bd set, my first attempt at power-up yielded these results. The colors are not correct and change during the demo, some cars have "ghosts," and I can't seem to coin-up or start. There is one game sound at start up. Needs work...
